Arthur Standish and the Training of Mallards

The Standish Chronological History Project

Alexander was about fifty years old at the time of his father Edward's death, and was living at Woolston, in Shropshire. It will be remembered that he had married Elizabeth Harwarden when very young. She had brought estates with her in England and Wales and the manor of Woolston was included among them.

Alexander settled the Standish estates on his heir, Ralph, together with Parkbrook Hall, Urchinsnape and The Acres in Shevington. The remainder was settled on Thomas and in default on Roger.[1]
