Annual Achievement Awards
From Standish Wiki
The Standish Community Forum's Annual Achievement Awards Scheme was inaugurated in the years on 1996/97. Graham Wilcock and William ("Captain" Bill) Morgan are the members responsible for its delivery and can also nominate suitable candidates - although most nominations come from the community.
Requests for nominations are placed in the quarterly newsletter each year, and letters also sent to schools and organisations. Members of the Forum committee are not eligible for awards, and successful candidates in one year are not eligible for an award in the same category in future years unless in very special circumstances. Nominations not successful one year are automatically reviewed the following years.
The awards are divided into five groups:
- The promotion of Standish
