From Standish Wiki

The Standish website is not a commercial venture backed by a large organisation. It is an initiative started back in 1999 by a Standish resident to put our township on the internet. Until now, it could only be maintained and updated by one person.

This latest version, the Standish Wiki, features the ability for the community to maintain the site themselves. To do this we need your help, in the following ways:

• If you believe that any information displayed on our wiki is or may be incorrect, please contact steve@standish.org.uk with the details, and I'll try to update it as soon as possible (this may take some time, dependent upon workload).

• If you find that any information displayed on our wiki is definitely incorrect, then you are welcome to edit it yourself. You will need to be registered to edit it, but it is a fairly simple registration process. Once registered, all you need to do is:

1. press the edit tab above
2. correct the text
3. enter a summary of the changes
4. press Show preview
5. check that the changes are being displayed correctly
6. press Save page

• If you think any information may be incorrect (but you are not 100% sure), then you can either contact steve@standish.org.uk, or for help from the whole community you could add a note to the discussion page for the relevant entry (see the discussion tab next to the edit tab above).

If you would like to join in the editing of our wiki, but you are unsure where to start, then it may be possible for some basic training to be provided at Standish Libraray. Please contact Steve Bradburn for further details.
