About
Soka Gakkai is a Buddhist organisation dedicated to world peace and individual happiness in this life, with a practical and accessible practice.
The Soka Gakkai International is affiliated to the UN as an NGO. Monthly meetings are held in members homes to teach the basic practice and support each other. There are no costs in joining it is totally free.
We practice the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin, a 13th century Japanese monk who first revealed the sacred invocation Nam myoho renge kyo.
Contemporary adherents include Orlando Bloom, Tina Turner, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter etc.
This is a practical and down to earth method of dealing with whatever it is that is causing you suffering. You don't have to believe it for it to work you just do it, it works then you can believe it.
