About

St. Wilfrid's Church plays a major part in the life and history of the Township. Everyone is welcome to join in Worship, and there are many groups and organisations giving support and providing social activities.

St. Wilfrid's Church is a Grade 1 listed building and has a long and interesting history. We are proud of our history but we also are a lively and very active church with services and activities for all age groups.

Services

Below is a list of our regular services. For other services, see the Church Notice Board. Refreshments are served in the Church Hall after the 9:30am Service each Sunday and after the 10:00am Service on Wednesday - all are welcome.

Sunday Services

• 8:00am: Holy Communion
• 10:00am: Family Communion (including. Sunday Schools and Creche, 2nd Sunday is Parade Service)
• 11:30am: Sung Mattins (third Sunday of the month)
• 12:30pm: Burial of Ashes (by arrangement)
• 3:30pm: Holy Baptism (by arrangement)
• 6:30pm: Choral Evensong (3rd Sunday: Holy Communion)

Holy Communion

• 7:30am: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• 10:00am: Wednesday
• 6:00pm: 1st Saturday of the month with laying on of hands for healing

Evening Prayer

5:15pm: Monday-Friday

Other Services

• Churchings, confession and counselling by arrangement with the clergy.
• Baptism and Marriage: enquiries please contact the parish office.
• Funerals: up to 3:00pm. 48hrs notice to be given to the parish clerk.
