The Standish Community Centre is owned by Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council and administered by a Management Committee which is now a sub-group of the Standish Community Forum.

The premises is a modern, well lit and efficiently heated building comprising a Main Hall (accommodates 100), a Quiet Room (accommodates 20), a small but well equipped kitchen, toilets (including disabled use), a small car park to the rear and an access ramp into the building.

The Centre is open to the general public each weekday from 10:00am to 4:00pm (except on Wednesdays 10:00am to 12:00 noon) as a "drop-in" facility offering companionship and refreshment in pleasant surroundings.

To maintain the Centre as a successful and financially viable undertaking, its facilities are available for hire to suitable voluntary and commercial organisations, including individuals seeking to organise special occasions (parties, receptions etc.).

All enquiries, including Caretaker arrangements and kitchen use, should be made to the Secretary.
