The Standish Wiki is an online collaborative encyclopedia specifically for and about the town of Standish, in Wigan, UK. This means that it is run by a site administrator aided by a voluntary association of registered individuals working to develop a common resource of information about the history and the current day aspects of our township.

The wiki is slightly different from the majority of wikis, in that it only allows registered members to alter its content. Registration is controlled by the administrator.

This does not mean that the site is 100% accurate. Please be advised that whilst information regarding organisations featured in our wiki is submitted by memembers of said organisations, nothing found here has necessarily been reviewed by people with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate or reliable information. Details of these organisations can change regularly, and our site may be updated only once we are informed of these changes. That said, we will try to keep the site updated, including periodically contacting organisations to check that the details we hold are correct.

The Standish Wiki administrator and development team can offer no assurances that the information found on this wiki is correct and up to date, and the information on this site is not necessarily the opinion of the site administrator and development team, or any of its members.
