The Standish Triptych

To mark the Millennium in Standish, the Community Forum, with the financial assistance of the Metro's Brighter Borough initiative, commissioned artist Gerald Rickards to identify and paint familiar buildings existing in Standish in the year 2000 on three separate panels, which together would form a triptych.

As a general guide the centre panel would include several buildings near the township centre, the left panel would depict several larger buildings on the Wigan side of Standish, and the right panel some of those to the North side.
